Privacy Policy
1. GENERAL AND DEFINITIONS
Words written with capital letters in this Privacy Policy has the same meaning as expressed in the relevant Terms of Service. Providers and End-clients will be jointly referred to as “User” in this document. peerCast will process your personal data in compliance with the Swedish Personal Data Act (SFS 1998:204) or any such succeeding legislation and this Privacy Policy. peerCast is the personal data controller in accordance with the act regarding the opening of User accounts. However, each account holder is the respective personal data controller in regards to personal data in live service sessions or other communication between Users. peerCast has composed this Privacy Policy in order to inform Users about our undertakings to protect the personal data we have been provided with on the Platform. The Policy is not applicable to other information or websites. We encourage you to regularly visit the Privacy Policy as it may get updated from time to time.
2. PERSONAL DATA
peerCast collects information which you provide directly to us, such as when you create or modify your account, request on-demand services, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. This information may include: name, email, password, phone number, profile picture, and other information which you choose to provide. peerCast will keep all personal data confidential. You decide which personal data you wish to submit on the Platform. peerCast collects the User´s personal data for purposes relating to the registration and opening of new User Accounts, and to provide and maintain EagleDial. Personal data may also be used for market analysis, development and improvement of EagleDial and for statistical purposes. When an End-client wishes to use a fee-based live service, or pay Provider as stated in the Terms of Service, payment details will be collected by the third-party appointed by peerCast to perform payments services, currently Stripe Inc. Stripe may use your Payment Information in accordance with their own Privacy Policy here: https://stripe.com/us/checkout/legal. Personal data will only be requested to the extent necessary in order to perform payment services. To better understand, protect and meet the demands and expectations of our Users, we also automatically collect data relating to how the User uses EagleDial and the Platform. This information is collected for peerCast’s internal research regarding our User’s preferences and behavior. The data collected may include the User´s web browser and IP-address. peerCast may also receive information from other sources. For example, when Users interact in a live service session, the End-user may provide peerCast with a rating on the Provider’s service, and vice versa. As a User, you acknowledge that personal data submitted during live service sessions might be stored and processed by the other User in that specific live service session. peerCast is not liable for such personal data. peerCast takes all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is correct and up-to-date. If you believe that your personal data stored by peerCast is incorrect, you shall notify peerCast and provide it with correct data in order to rectify and update your personal data. You can also correct and update the personal data provided by you directly on the Platform. peerCast may be required by law to disclose certain information regarding its Users to a third party or a regulatory authority. peerCast is currently hosting EagleDial and the Platform in the EU/EES and personal data will be stored in the EU/EES. peerCast does not request the submission of sensitive personal data. However, if the user on his/her own initiative and risk discloses personal data revealing race, ethnic origin, political opinion, religious or philosophical beliefs or membership of a trade union, peerCast will process such personal data only as part of the EagleDial services to that User.
3. SELF-MONITORING
It is of utmost importance for peerCast to protect its Users´ integrity. However, the User bears the sole responsibility and takes on all the risks associated with using EagleDial and the Platform, internet in general, posting or participating in live service sessions on EagleDial and the Platform, as well as how the User interacts on or outside the Platform.
4. COOKIES
peerCast uses cookies in order to enhance and facilitate the user experience. A cookie is a small text file that contains text information and is saved on the User´s computer. A cookie is used in order to improve the user experience when using EagleDial and the Platform, and also to create statistics regarding Users´ use of the Platform. Consequently, by allowing cookies, the User will be able to keep its preferences as it uses the Services. Cookies also allow for peerCast to offer secure webpages without the User having to log in again each time. In order to not accept cookies, the User may adjust its web browser settings either to not accept cookies or to indicate when a cookie is used. However, EagleDial may require the use of cookies in order to function as intended.
5. RIGHT TO OBTAIN INFORMATION
Once per calendar year, you are entitled to obtain information about your personal data stored and handled by peerCast at no cost. The request must be in writing and addressed to peerCast, on the address below, and must be signed by you.
6. RIGHT TO DELETE DATA
